Dear colleague

The 3rd International Live Laparoscopic Surgery Meeting will be held in Dundee from 20th to 22nd of October 2009 and brings exciting developments from the forefront of laparoscopic surgery.

Building on the success of 2007 and 2008, the latest in audio-visual and live streaming technology will be used to broadcast in real time more than 25 advanced Laparoscopic Upper GI, HPB and Colorectal procedures, performed live by master surgeons from throughout Europe, the UK, the USA and as far as India.

In order to continue on our mission to showcase the cutting edge of minimally invasive surgery, we expect to recruit into our programme of advanced surgery, demonstrations of single-port and NOTES procedures.

In the auditorium a panel of world renowned experts and moderators will coordinate the interaction between the audience and the operating surgeons and will provide a commentary on the live surgery, shown simultaneously on 3 maxi-screens.

The Videoforum session proved very popular last year and we are pleased to invite you to yet again submit a video for presentation in this session and for inclusion in the meeting DVD. A prize will be awarded on each of the 3 days to the best video in Upper GI, HPB and Colorectal surgery.

We are confident that the quality of the surgery will exceed your expectations and that you will find the meeting educational and very entertaining, just like live surgery usually is looking forward to welcoming you in one of our venues or to you joining us online.
